  1. Cut a small X on the bottom of the breadfruit to allow steam to escape during roasting.
  2. Place the breadfruit on the middle rack of a 425°F (220°C) oven.
  3. Roast for 90 minutes, or until the skin is evenly charred and the flesh is tender.
  4. Allow the roasted breadfruit to cool slightly.
  5. Peel off the skin and remove the core.
  6. Slice into wedges or thick pieces.
  7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
